I did my own LIM gaskets on my 3400, and with all the new coolant and oil, it ran me about $200 and 10 hours or so, but that was in a freezing garage in January or February of last year. The 3800 is a little easier to do the LIM gaskets than the 3400, as well.I read Engine Builder Magazine that the felpro gaskets use three concentric sealing beads to provide redundancy and can seal minor pitting but again..paranoid.. I bought the aluminum elbows seperately at Advance Auto Parts. I bought my upper and lower off eBay, it included the Dorman gaskets and the EGR tube.
